ShopHow we're made...

©Little Gifts of Feeling are handmade in Hackney with lots of love and affection, using the skills and talents of local people with learning disability (a.k.a. The Chain Gang).

How to make a ŠLittle Gift of Happiness... from Angie Gough on Vimeo.

The colourful bags (made of locally sourced cotton and ribbon) are sewn by the lovely ladies at HEBA - a social enterprise on Brick Lane providing training to immigrant women to enable them to find employment. When the bags arrive at the studio, the Chain Gang swings into action and the bags are filled with special ingredients*, symbolic of the different feelings in the range, which currently includes Happiness, Love, Luck, Strength, Friendship, Lust, Thanks, Celebration and more...

Then we print, cut, fold and punch (but not violently!!!) the tags, which are the finishing touch, containing details of what’s inside (and why) as well as space for the gift giver to write his or her own message.

©Little Gifts of Feeling are made in a spirit of fun and are the perfect way to share the feeling! They make great party favours or goody bags and they’re exactly what you need when a greeting card just won’t do...

We add to the range regularly, but if your feeling’s not here, we’ll happily make it to order for you, at no extra cost. Please contact us to find out more.

*Ingredients include (but are certainly not limited to...) marbles, string, chocolate kisses, glitter... To find out what they represent, you’ll just have to buy a gift…
