Hansa’s Diary - 2006
Here's some of my diary entries from 2006. Enjoy!
What I did today. Well, I put on star earrings. I also put them in Christmas gift bags. Angie’s friend, Siobhan, called us on the phone, but I didn’t speak to her. I was too shy (note from Angie – this is VERY unusual behaviour…) But seriously, today we were REALLY busy and when we took a break, we took lots of funny pictures. Here they are…
Angie’s on holidays now, so i won’t be back till next January. Happy Christmas to everyone and see you in the New Year!
xx Hansa
Thanks to Mrs Bhudia for her DELICIOUS chopatis. They were YUM!
Today, I was the boss. Celestin and Chantelle were helping us in the studio. Together we made lots of little gifts. Celestin did really well. He was excellent. He was funny too and told us good stories. Sometimes, we like to call him Michael Owen, coz he looks just like him. He didn’t sing this time, but he might next time.
We did the sdame thing all day long – filling bags and re–stocking the ingredients.
I am going home early–ish today because I don’t want to miss my “Ready, Steady, Cook!”
The camera is brooken and we couldn’t take any pictures today, so we’ll have to take them next week.
Until then. See ya!
Today we had some special visitors to the studio – Hansa’s lovely Mum and cousin (see pic) popped in to say hello! Unfortunately, Mrs Bhudia had no chopatis with her, but she promised to bring them next time. Yum!
Today I made ©Little Gifts of Christmas Cheer. They smell of cloves and spice and all things nice! We spoke to Angie’s husband on the phone. His name is Myles. He looks like Clark Kent (so Angie thinks!)… Some day soon, he is going to take a half day so he can meet me. I sit in his chair at lunchtime and I can’t stop giggling!!!
After lunch, we made more bags together. Next Tuesday, I’ll be the boss when other people start work with us. We will be very busy and I will show everyone what to do. Watch out – we’ll put pictures up on the website so you can see me in action.
My Mum and my cousin came to work today to pick me up. So I have to go. Right now… Angie – where’s my cheque???
Today was a tough day and I got tired. In the morning, I packed up all the Christmas cards. I had to choose envelopes and put matching colours together. Not white ones with white cards – no way! My favourite card was the red one with the diamond star. It reminded me of me – a star!
After lunch, I had to peel off the seals on cello packs and make sure to put them in the rubbish. Angie is very messy around the studio – but not me. Oh no! Then I put tags on lots of ©Little Gifts of Love and Happiness – I did pink and blue. Then I was really tired, so we had a chat. I was looking out the window and I knew that it was going to rain. The clouds were in the sky…
We listened to the Hindi songs. Angie tries to sing, but she is very very bad. She thinks they are singing about chapatis…
Now Malcolm is coming to collect me in his Mercedes. Nice car – suits me fine!
See you next week! Hansa x (that’s for Tolu!)
P.S. – Hi Rina! (that’s my sister, she always reads this…)
Yippee! Hansa officially started work today. She is brilliant fun to have around the place. She makes me laugh and cheers me up. But enough of that, it’s Hansa’s turn… NEXT!
Today, I worked with smiley faces stickers. I had to be careful not to leave any sad faces in there because the smileys are going in to the little gifts of happiness. A sad face would not do! The smell of chocolate was tempting me, but I waited till lunch time.
I also got my hands on some money, but I had to wear gloves. Look at me in the picture – it was just like being in Holby City! The money was making too much noise when we had to put it into the money jar.
Angie wouldn’t stop chatting so lunch took a long time. I had tasty cheese and cucumber sandwiches – thanks Mum!
Back to work and I helped out with the Christmas cards. We were talking about husbands and I looked at photos of Angie’s wedding. Her husband is nice mmmmmmmm…… I cut roses and we left one for Tolu to give to his girlfriend.
The best part of the day was at the end.
Just a minute ago, Angie wrote me a cheque – hand it over Angie! I worked hard for that!
Anil (that’s my brother) – hands off my cheque!
Hansa was back today and we’ve decided that she will have a work diary on this page, which she will update every week. So here goes…
Well, today I was working, but thinking all the time about the man of dreams… Superman! It was distracting Angie and Tolu, but that was good fun. Clark Kent is his real name and he’s nice. Very nice. I like when he flies in the sky. Hopefully Superman will fly in the window here and pick me up and take me away. Maybe we’ll go to see his house. I’d be shy…
In between dreams, we were busy here today. I made lots of ©Little Gifts of Christmas Cheer – little red and green bags. I put in chocolate, bells, glitter, snowflakes, candy canes, cloves and cinnamon. We ran out of candy canes, so I had to stop. Then, I started giggling. When I finally stopped giggling, Angie and I glued crystals onto some invitations. I had glue all over my fingers. I did! I went downstairs and washed my hands, just in time to update my diary.
See you next week – same time, same place! And remember now – “Don't you start!”
Hansa Bhudia came for work experience today and she was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Hansa made lots of “©Little Gifts of Feeling”, which will go on sale in November. Tolu Oluwatuyi came along with Hansa to make sure she worked really hard. He didn’t have to worry though, because she was brilliant. We hope that Hansa will like this job so that she’ll work for us! Hansa says: “It’s not boring, it’s not rubbish, it’s nice! Please can I have a break now???” Tolu says: “Well I always said she was a cheeky monkey!” Hansa says: “Don’t you start!”
