April 2008: Babies R Us...
We've had a really busy April, thanks to our Deal or No Deal appearance and being featured in Homes & Gardent list of Top Ten Stationery for special events. we also launched lots of new ©Little Gifts, which have gone down a treat.

Latest news is that, yesterday, Hansa and I went to see "Ready Steady Cook" being filmed. We had a bit of a wait, but eventually made it into the studio and boy, was it worth the wait! Ainsley is still Hansa's top idol and Stuart, the warm up guy (pictured, hugging a Christmas tree...), is our latest crush. Mmmmmm..... Watch out for Hansa in the red top, behind the red kitchen, in the Ready Steady Cook Christmas Special - the one with Phil Vickery (so lovely!) and Toyah (so little!!!).

My lodger is due to make an appearance any day now (due on May 14), so we're winding things down until the bambino is able to tie bows and stick things together. I reckon that will be about October 2008... I'll pop a picture up here to let you know how things go.

Niecey will be working one day a week for the next few weeks, so orders will continue to be processed and dispatched, albeit at a slower pace than previously.

Thanks to everyone for the messages of encouragement and for your patience over the next few months. We'll be back soon!

March 2008 : Spring Fever!
Well, it's been all go so far this year - biggest news is that our ©Little Gift of Luck is soon to be seen on Channel 4's Deal or No Deal, which is very exciting indeed. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that the lovely gentleman who's using it as his lucky charm strikes it lucky! It's due to air in March / April, so we'll keep you posted.

We've been doing loads of weddings in the run up to Summer wedding season, so there's lots of ivory, gold and pink floating round the place. Big love to Zeynep & Yilmaz, who are getting married in Turkey and whose invitations turned out to be delightful! It was our first time printing and designing in Turkish, so we learned a few new tricks.

We're putting the finishing touches to some blingin' invitations for Leigh's upcoming 30th and were happy to help Hannah to make some little bags for her wedding wishing tree, using some beautiful vintage fabric that she supplied. We're always looking for interesting ways to make your weddings and events extra special, so don't be shy about getting in touch if you're looking for assistance!

Mega Congrats to Vixen & Tony, who are now proud parents of scrummy baby Ross. I'll be looking for pointers when our own bundle of joy arrives in May!

That's all the news for now. Our next newsletter is all about being good and green. Coming soon to a mailbox near you...

January 2008: Pondering our navels...
We had a really busy Christmas period, with lots of fun party invitations to be made, including a really cool invitation for a Formula 1 Racing event, which involved hundreds of runaway egg timers and cardboard tubes... and the creation of ©Little Gifts fit for a King (The King of Bahrain in fact!) - our most royal challenge yet. Full details coming to Spotlight soon. With all of this, along with a delivery of Italian journals and the arrival our writing sets, there was absolutely loads to do and it was all hands on deck. Niecey, Marylin, Louise and Helena helped made sure we got everything where it needed to go on time - THANK YOU LOVELY LADIES!

Fabulous French Fifi, (who once helped to sew our bags), opened her fab new store - COVET, in Islington. We wish her lorry loads of success and recommend that you get along to check out her wares asap. She's stocking an exclusive range of new designer clothing, handbags and jewellery, as well as some stunning gift and home items. Visit Covet at 21 Arlington Way, London EC1R 1UY. It rocks!

In our last newsletter, I announced the imminent arrival of a new full time Share the Feeling staffer - Myles and I are having a baby, due in May. EEEK! It's getting exciting now, but there will be changes to our online services in order to facilitate maternity leave and the like, so watch this space for details.

The Chain Gang will be back next week but in the meantime, Niecey and I are pondering our navels and coming up with new stuff to add to our range over the next few months. We'll keep you posted!

Before I go - "Happy Wedding" to Lisa & Alan and to Lisa & Laurence, our most recent brides and grooms to be and CONGRATS to Janine & Ross, who've just tied the knot in sunny South Africa. Yippee!

September 2007: On the road again...
Holidays over, so it's been noses to the grindstone again. Late with Chain Mail (that's our quarterly newsletter - sign up now) coz we're so busy making wedding invitations! We're looking for a part time Studio Assistant to make sure we don't let things slide when we get really busy. If you're interested, or know of anyone who might be, please let us know. We really are rather fun to work with...

Angie has been on the road, meeting retailers all around London. We're delighted to be sending a batch of ©Little Gifts to Kate at Red Door in Greenwich. Her fab store is full of UK made goodies, arts and crafts. Lots of beautiful jewellery and some really interesting artwork. She's a legend. Make sure to pop in if you're in the area and don't be shy about singing our praises!

Finally, BIG LOVE to Tanya at Spirit & Destiny magazine. She featured our ©Little Gifts of Happiness in the September issue (visit our press page for all the details) and we have been completely swamped with new people loving what we do and buying our stuff. Yippee! Hello and thank you for shopping to... Jan in Scotland, Hannah in Halesowen, Bryony and Lovely Laura in London, Paul in Gloucestershire and Karen in Northampton (to name but a few).

The more people who buy our stuff, the more work there is for the Chain Gang, so bring it on!

August 2007: Singin' in the rain...
Well, it seems our ©Little Gifts of Sunshine struck a chord - we sold out after 2 weeks! Hansa and the Chain Gang worked their buns off and now they're back in stock again. Phew!

Congrats to Niamh and Niall, who had baby Isaac last month. Watch out for his announcement cards. Coming soon to our Spotlight section. That's where we'll be featuring jobs we're working on at the moment, from the early inspiration stages right through to the finished product.

Angie holidayed in Cornwall this year and found it very stile-ish indeed... (see pics on the side) Seriously, it was one stile after another! Hansa's off to Paris in September, she's sick of the British weather. Luckily, the sun shone in Cornwall for Ange.

Big congrats to Ebba & Shawn and to Sheila & Adrian, who got married this month. Don't they look gorgeous? (see pics)

July 2007: Out and about...
In between muddy festivals (Angie is stalking The Killers all the way around Bitain and Ireland...) and torrential downpours, this month we've been out and about, meeting new people and getting inspiration for our invitations and ©Little Gifts.

We met the lovely Andrew at Seventeen Events - the coolest, greenest, friendliest events company ever! From their eco-friendly sea container offices (ABSOLUTELY FAB) they help to organise lots of wonderful events like the Observer Ethical Awards, the Holborn Street Festival and garden fetes all round the country. Check out their very nifty website to see for yourself.

One day during a torrential downpour we took shelter in Elaine Fong's shop - The Cat's Pyjamas of Marylebone - and now she's selling our range of ©Little Gifts of Feeling. Along with lots of other gorgeous treats in her little Marylebone treasure trove. We can highly recommend a visit. Do say hello from us!

And finally, we are so thoroughly sick of the rain that we've created ©Little Gifts of Sunshine to share this Summer. In our shop now, they're filled with strawberries and cream, white fluffy clouds and other sunny summer things, it's our way of making sure you always have the sunshine with you. Well, if the mountain won't come to Mohommed...

June 2007: Share the Feeling hits the headlines...
What a whilrwind of a month this was for us press wise... Share the Feeling featured on Daily Candy - the loveliest, sweetiest of emails delivered fresh to your inbox every weekday. Want to read what they had to say about us? Just click here...

Local news mag - East Eight - also made a hullabaloo about what we do, which was just fab. You'll find the full story here

We practically had to come to work in camouflage to dodge the paps. Oh the trials and tribulations!

May 2007: Yippadeedoodah! We won an award!!!
Our very own Angie was announced Runner Up in Inspiration Nation - a UK wide competition to find inspirational women and celebrate their achievements. Creators of the competition, Emily Cleaver and Nadia Finer (of www.theresmoretolifethanshoes.com) were blown away by the inspirational stories of all the entrants but the judges (including Mandy Haberman, Inventor & Entrepreneur and Preethi Nair, Author) thought our Ange was a real winner. Of course, we knew that all along....

Addressing the Chain Gang in an emotional acceptance speech in the Attic, Angie said: "Well done to Jan Rutter, who is such a deserving winner and I am very proud to be one of the winning divas. Chain Gang - I couldn't have done it without you".
"Too right!" replied Hansa...

Seriously though, we are chuffed to bits and very proud to be in the company of such fabulous winners. To read the full stories of all the winners, go to www.theresmoretolifethanshoes.com.

April 2007: Sharing the Feeling
Right now, we’re Sharing the Feeling with…...... twins Abigail and Daragh, who’re celebrating their first birthday on 10th April – with a little help from Mum, Dad, brother Ben and sister Lucy, of course. Ben and Lucy also helped lick all the stamps for announcement cards when the twins were born – how helpful are they? Happy double birthday kids!

……Sam and Charlie, whose second wedding anniversary rolls around on 27th March. That’s your paper anniversary guys – can we suggest some lovely blingin’ cards as a very appropriate gift? Should you be planning anniversary celebrations, you know where we are…

……proud parents Louise and Scott, whose little smasher Katie-Mae was three on 4 February. We helped announce Katie–Mae’s birth to the world and can’t quite believe how much she’s grown; sniff.
