Meet the Team
Known as the Chain Gang, our team of employees with learning disabilities put their skills and talents to work in creating everything we make and do. They work one day a week and are paid a fair and proper wage. At the moment, 3 lovely ladies from Hackney make up the team - Lindy, Sylvia and Doris. They're supported at work by Magda and Carole from Hackney Recruitment Partnership.
Sylvia is from Hackney. She's married to James. She has one brother and 3 sisters. Her favourite food is chicken, and she likes cooking but James does all the baking in her house! She used to work in Wood Green Training Centre in the canteen, but now she's really happy working on the Chain Gang. If you have 2 minutes, watch her video!

Lindy is originally from South Africa and she moved to from Hackney a couple of years ago. She has one brother and 1 sister. Lindy makes excellent waffles and she talks a lot of waffle too... She is the best little tag maker ever to work on the Chain Gang. Do watch her video to get the big picture!

Doris was born in Ghana and moved to Hackney when she was 13. She has 2 sisters and 1 brother. She works two days a week at Oxfam and one day on the Chain Gang. She eats a lot of cashew nuts and has the most magnificent glowing skin. She is VERY bossy. And brilliant at tying bows.
Doris's video is coming soon!
Magda & Carole support the Chain Gang at work. They work for Hackney Recruitment Partnership and are complete legends. Magda was responsible for getting our ©Little Gifts into Liberty of London. They'll be in store from January 2010. Yahoo!
Angie started Share the Feeling in May 2006. She's from Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland. She has 5 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 husband and a daughter called Edie. She used to work at BBC Children in Need and at Special Olympics Ireland. She loves The Killers. And the Chain Gang.
